On my Journey

Received my order of books and tapes and after grazing through all I seem to be drawn to Santiago de Compostela, Spain, a medieval pilgrimage still traveled today. I discovered a discussion Yahoo group of pilgrim travelers who are from all over the world. Fascinating. My eyes are uncooperative but I am slowly reading Jack Hitts book “Off The Road” . The advantage of only reading a little at a time is it gives me visualization time to really partcipate on the journey.   In the group discussion a lot of the members do not like his book but I do, as he tells all the details, and to me life is in the details. I think I have said that line before. Here is an Example of his writing style:A knock on the door brings the lady herself; dressed in a bright flowered blue dress. Her gray hair is swept back recklessly from her face. Spectacles sit at the lowest possible point on her nose. A single long front tooth rests on her lower lip. Red blossoms beam from her cheeks. ” I can SEE her.” I would be proud if I could write like that.
